Back when Warmachine had been enough of a dominant game on the gaming tables of my local group, we had begun to look for a game to give a bit of variation and the game we started up was Malifaux. The card mechanic was such an interesting change from dice and the models looked wonderful. Well they did, but then along came the second edition, and oh boy was I wrong. THESE models looked wonderful. So naturally I bought a lot of them. At the time I owned a huge portion of the Arcanist faction. I’ve since then downsized a bit, but I still have a fair few of them, and these are probably some of my favourites; Kaeris’ crew:

Monday’s Miniature #2
So for this weeks miniature it’s not a finished piece but the one I am currently working on.
When I first started playing Warhammer back in the day, I started with a Tomb king army. Soon after, when I started to get in to the game more, I branched out (pun wholly intended) into Wood elves.
While I never really got to own the model back then, the old Wood elf dragon with the Sisters of twilight was one of my favourite models of the time. So when Games workshop quite recently put it up for made to order release, I snatched it up quite quickly. Even if it won’t go with any of my current forces…. Guess maybe I need to start Sylvaneth?

Way back When’sday #1
For my Wednesday posts, I’ll be posting up painted models that weren’t recent, as I have plenty of those too! So here’s Kommander Harkevich. I painted it some years ago when I was still playing Warmachine fairly actively (Though I can’t really say I used this model an awful lot). I was pretty happy with how he turned out though, having previously not been a huge fan of the model, it became one of my most proud Khador pieces.

Monday’s Miniature #1
For the first piece of miniature Monday it’s my centrepiece model for my Kharadron Overlord arny (or as I commonly refer to them as; Sky Dwarves) the Arkanaut frigate.
Sad teacup games blog begins!
For a while now I’ve wanted to find some output for my miniatures. I haven’t really had the time to play the games lately, so now and again I’d just be painting them up and then they’d sit on a shelf, or I’d post the occasional picture to my twitter feed. However, I found that this doesn’t necessarily encourage me to keep painting them as frequently as I’d like. And the miniatures are still piling up…
So in comes the blog. I plan to update bi-weekly (Monday and Friday). Mondays will be a new thing I’ve painted recently (Not necessarily a new model, just a newly painted model). Fridays will be for other things, maybe a battle report for a game I tried out finally, or just general chatter about the games I’m enjoying or looking forward to. Heck, it could even just be another recently painted model (never know, it certainly could happen!)
Between posts I may schedule some other stuff to appear, mostly previous models I’ve collected and painted up but aren’t recent, or even have some friend’s throw up some of their miniatures to show off.
Here we go…Again, as I reupload and edit this page due to life stepping in and delaying my start..
